    Sambalpuri Saree

A Sambalpuri saree is a traditional handwoven saree from the state of Odisha, India, known for its unique patterns and intricate craftsmanship. These sarees are made using a tie-dye technique called “Bandha,” which is similar to the Ikat weaving style. The patterns are created on the yarn before weaving, which results in beautiful and precise designs once the fabric is woven.Sambalpuri sarees often feature motifs inspired by nature, such as flowers, wheels, and conch shells, as well as traditional geometric patterns. They are typically made from cotton or silk, making them suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions. The rich colors and fine craftsmanship make these sarees highly valued, both in India and internationally.
